Fry Site Services Strengthening Partnerships Through Delivery Excellence
Fry Site Services are proud to confirm the successful award of a key civils, substructure and external works package with REDS10, supporting the delivery of a modular education project.
This latest instruction is another step forward for the business and reflects the progress we have been making. It shows the trust being placed in Fry Site Services to deliver technically detailed and programme-driven groundwork packages.
With the modular building already in production off site, we are pleased to be delivering the groundwork and infrastructure needed to support this new classroom facility when it is installed. It is an important project and one we are proud to be involved in.
This is exactly the type of work we have been building towards.
Supporting Modern Methods of Construction
Modular construction is becoming more common across the education sector. Buildings are now manufactured off site, which improves consistency and reduces build time.
This approach brings new challenges on site. The groundworks must be completed to exact levels and positions so that the modular units can be installed without delay. There is no room for adjustment once the building arrives.
At Fry Site Services, we understand the importance of getting this right. Every stage of the groundwork package must match the design and the programme. We are working closely with REDS10 to make sure the site is prepared to the correct standard and ready for installation.
It is a process that requires planning, coordination and attention to detail.
Scope of Works
Fry Site Services are delivering a full civils and external works package for this project.
The main part of the work is the installation of pad foundations to support the modular building. These foundations must be set out accurately so they match the structural layout of the building. Each position, level and tolerance must be right first time. Small errors are not acceptable on projects like this.
The works involve careful excavation, preparation of the formation, and the placing of concrete to create strong and stable foundations. The drawings and calculations provide clear guidance, and our team is focused on delivering each element exactly as specified.
Drainage is another key part of the project. New systems are being installed to manage both foul water and surface water. This includes new pipe runs, inspection chambers and connections into existing infrastructure. All drainage must be installed with the correct falls and levels so that it performs properly from day one.
Alongside this, we are carrying out car park reconfiguration works to improve access and make better use of the space. This involves working around existing areas while keeping the site safe and organised.
The project also includes landscaping works. These will complete the external areas around the building and help the new facility sit naturally within its surroundings. Getting the finish right is just as important as the groundwork itself.
Integrated Approach Across Fry Group
This project also shows how our group companies work together to deliver a complete solution.
Fry MEP will be carrying out the gas diversion works required to support the development. This is an important part of the enabling works and needs to be carefully coordinated with the civils package.
At the same time, RecMat will be supporting the project with haulage, site logistics and waste management. This includes moving materials and plant to site and providing RORO bins throughout the works.
Having this level of support within the same group helps everything run more smoothly. It reduces delays, improves communication and gives us more control over how the project is delivered.
Precision and Programme
This project requires a strong focus on detail from start to finish.
Every part of the work must be completed in line with the programme and to the correct specification. Setting out must be accurate. Levels must be consistent. All work must follow the sequence required to keep the programme on track.
With the modular building being manufactured off site, timing is critical. The groundwork must be complete and ready when the structure arrives.
Our team understands what is required and is focused on delivering the works to the right standard.
Working in a Live Environment
Carrying out works in a live environment brings its own challenges.
The site must remain safe and well managed at all times. Access must be controlled, disruption must be kept to a minimum and communication must be clear.
We have experience working in these conditions and understand how important it is to maintain a professional approach throughout.
Safety is always the priority.
Building Strong Relationships with REDS10
We are proud to have been instructed by REDS10 on this project.
This reflects the strength of the relationship being built and the confidence in Fry Site Services to deliver the works required.
Strong partnerships are key to successful delivery. By working closely together, we can ensure that the project runs smoothly and challenges are dealt with quickly.
Supporting the Education Sector
Projects like this make a real difference.
Providing new classroom facilities helps support the needs of students and staff, and we are pleased to play a part in that.
Our role is to make sure that the groundwork is delivered properly, creating a solid base for the building and everything that follows.
Looking Ahead
This project shows the direction Fry Site Services is heading in.
We have been working hard to build a business that delivers reliable, high quality groundworks and civils packages. We have focused on improving our processes, strengthening our team and building the right partnerships.
That effort is starting to show.
We Are Just Getting Started
We take pride in doing things the right way. We focus on quality, consistency and delivering on our commitments.
This project with REDS10 is another step forward.
We are building something strong and we are only just getting going.
